In The Word - Colossians | What Did God Save You For?
Description
Paul begins to talk about the mindset of “no pain, no gain” and how he has embraced the battle and responsibility of being a disciple of Christ. In Colossians 1:24-29, he shares his testimony to build credibility and inspire the Colossians, teaching that salvation is not the finish line but the starting line for a mission with God. Salvation means we have not only been saved from something, but we have been saved for something. Salvation marks the beginning of discipleship and the responsibility to proclaim, warn, and teach. Paul shows us that while our insecurities may make us hesitant, we must strive with God’s strength and not let them rob us of our obedience. Even in suffering, Paul reminds us to trust God’s plan and see our struggles as opportunities to know Him deeper. What has God saved you for? Listen to this sermon about in the third part of our In The Word series, walking through the book of Colossians.
